The most antique cheese ever made in Normandy. It was originally created in a Norman abbey during the X century but it became popular only in the XVI century, when it finally took the name of the town Pont-l'Évêque, situated in between Deauville and Liseux, area which nowadays holds the vast majority of the production of this wonderful cheese. The texture is soft and creamy with aromas of toasted dried fruit.
